Volunteer

There are a number of roles and many possibilities to contribute as a part of Girls in Games, Inc. See below for descriptions of current roles and check the forums for the most current information.

Industry Veterans

Donating your time and expertise to Girls in Games will greatly help inexperienced game developers gain insight into the industry. You’ll have the opportunity to mentor an enthusiastic group of people driven by game creation, and not the next AAA title. You can actively contribute a number of hours regularly as a Senior Lead or as often as you like as an Development Mentor or Advisor.

Organization Volunteers:

We are always on the lookout for industry veterans who can lead and develop the vision for Girls in Games, Inc. as an organzation to help women get into the industry.

Senior Leads:

As a Senior Lead, you would be acting as a director of one our five teams: Art, Audio, Business, Design, or Programming. Overseeing the progress of the team and seeing that it adheres to the development schedule would be a primary responsibly. You would also be keeping in contacts with the other Senior Leads to ensure advancement.

Development Mentor:

As a Development Mentor, you have full access to our development process, and offer input on a regular basis.

Advisors:

We are currently gathering a list of name of Advisors who would like to participate in future events.

Organization Volunteers

Do you feel there's not enough women making and playing games? So do we! Contribute to a worthy cause by donating your time to help with the organization with such things public relations, community building, or event preparations. Not only will you build leadership skills, you'll build relations with people with similar interests.

Industry Newcomers

Are you looking to build up your portfolio? Add experience to your resume? Then join us on our current development project! We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and have the skill set jump into development on our current project. If you are still learning or developing your skill set, please consider joining us as an organization volunteer, and get complete access to our development process.
